Cycling for freedom
Bicycles have come a long way since they were simply gifts that parents gave to their school-age children to reward them for good grades. Today, cycling is a passion that drives some to conquer the roads and mountains, or others to travel across
cities and borders. Bekir Öztürkler, Accounting Supervisor at Yıldız Entegre, is one such cycling aficionado, who turned his childhood love of cycling into a hobby: “My bike is an integral part of me; it has become a companion that helped me to travel miles and miles with muscle strength. The feeling of freedom that I get as I cycle is priceless.”

Yıldız Entegre Purchasing Manager Hüseyin Talak, İGSAŞ Electrical Maintenance Foreman Recep Kısa and Yıldız Demir Çelik Mechanical Maintenance Foreman Şenol Öz, who all love
their jobs of many years and have crossed paths somewhere along the way with Yıldızlar Yatırım Holding. Speaking about his work, Talak says, “Being a member of Yıldızlar Yatırım Holding family is a source of happiness and honor for me. I see myself
as a brick in this structure. I believe that we will achieve much more with our organizations as they learn more and gain more experience in both business and social life every passing year.” Recep Kısa says that he sees it as his responsibility to pass on his knowledge and experience at İGSAŞ to his younger coworkers, “I think it is a privilege at İGSAŞ and under
the umbrella of Yıldızlar Yatırım Holding. I am grateful to Yıldızlar Yatırım Holding’s Board of Directors and the management team for taking risks in challenging times and investing, building plants and creating employment, and making their employees happy.” Şenol Öz talks about his love and respect for the job and the work environment, “I believe that Yıldız Demir Çelik, which I am certain will go places even though
it is still new in the industry, has carved a good position for itself at the moment. I am here to tell my coworkers about my experience, how to work in a safe environment, and to act like a big brother for them. My motto is, ‘Quality people are those that create
a void in their absence, not the ones that fill a void’ and I continue to set an example for my coworkers by following this principle.”
Talking about happiness on Women’s Day
Yıldızlar Yatırım Holding brought together women employees with Personal Development expert Müge Çevik on March
8, International Women’s Day. Müge Çevik’s book “Mutluluk Kulübü” (Happiness Club) was presented as a gift to all the women.
